She completed all premedical coursework at Wayne State University in Michigan and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors. She has several years of experience working in the medical field, including working with a pain management physician. Emily’s education and experience inspired her to pursue studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She completed a four year graduate program and earned a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago.
Emily has been practicing in Michigan for several years. Along with treating patients privately, she started the first ever community acupuncture program in a Michigan hospital at Beaumont Health Systems. Community acupuncture allows patients the experience of acupuncture at an affordable rate. Currently, she sees patients both privately and in a community setting at the MINDs Eye Books & Wellness Center in Mount Clemens.
Emily successfully treats a wide variety of conditions including acute and chronic pain and male and female health issues. Additionally, she has a particular interest in fertility support and complementary care for oncology patients. She has provided over 7000 treatments to patients in all areas of health.
Emily is certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and also by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a registered acupuncturist and member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
